Mal-adaptive, not always Mal-icious!

‘What are you thinking about?’

‘Ransom money – ten crores, will you shell out?’

‘Where did that come from?

Perhaps, it’s Maladaptive daydreaming, to which you’ve succumbed.’

‘Let’s wrap the meeting, any question?’

‘I guess I’d like to give a few suggestions.’

‘Stop mumbling and look me in my eyes.’

‘Nothing really, I sincerely apologize.’

If this is not avoidance,

I don’t know what is.

‘Here comes my long-lost sibling’,

says avoidance about withdrawal, chuckling!

‘This gets me to curl up,

from the realm of social interaction,

I’ve started hating parties lately.

I’ve been cut out, hence officially no invitation!’

‘Give me a break from this insane tantrum behavior.

Your anxiety, your anger, your frustration!

You can’t simply detour,

letting me drown in this perplexity and confusion.’

‘Are you actually pulling out your hair?’

‘What do you gain out of this incessant self-harm?’

‘It’s a game called truth or dare,

Simpler to avoid the truth than to face the state of alarm.’

‘Does this upset you?’ ‘Of course not,

Congratulations on finally tying the knot.

How dare he moved on so quick?’

‘Skip using passive-aggressiveness as your trick,

just give it a vent,

and cherish the time with him that you’ve spent!’

‘You can’t go on targeting the vulnerable.’

‘I can’t, but my stereotypical version 2.0 can.’

‘Why would you do that to them?’

‘Because deriving sadistic pleasure is my only plan!’

‘Who on earth spilled the beans?’

asks the furious lady,

‘It’s me!’ she sprang up in inappropriate delight.

Muffed voices roared, ‘that attention seeking woman,

has sure gotten herself into trouble so tight,

which sounds about right!’

‘You’re 10 coffee mugs down in three hours

This is either caffeine addition or workaholism.’

‘That’s not all, I’m also glued to Instagram and Snapchat

where I publicize my obsession with exercise-

my new found superpower!’

This is how I summarized Maladaptive Behavioral traits

Maybe it’s not just a phase,

but it’s here to stay,

a whole lot more serious than a frivolous play.

Help your loved ones recognize the patterns

of disruptive behavior as about the signs you learn!
